Deleting Your Data
You can remove your data from yellit at any time, and you do not need to ask us to do it. There are three levels, depending on how much you want gone.
1. Disconnect one platform account
- Sign in at TODO: https://yourdomain.
- Open Accounts.
- Click Disconnect next to the Instagram, YouTube, or X account you want removed.
This immediately deletes that account's stored access and refresh tokens, along with its account ID and display name. yellit can no longer publish to it. Your yellit account and your publish history stay.
2. Delete your whole yellit account
- Sign in at TODO: https://yourdomain.
- Open Settings → Delete account.
- Confirm. There is no undo.
This permanently deletes your email address, every connected platform account and its encrypted tokens, every API token, and your entire publish history (captions, targets, timestamps, results). Any media still staged for an in-flight publish is deleted with it. Deletion completes immediately; backups containing the data age out within 30 days.
3. Revoke access from the platform itself
You can also cut yellit off at the source, which works even if you cannot sign in here:
- Instagram: Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites → remove yellit.
- Facebook (if the connection was made through a Facebook Page): Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites → remove yellit.
- Google / YouTube: myaccount.google.com/permissions → yellit → Remove access.
- X: Settings → Security and account access → Apps and sessions → Connected apps → yellit → Revoke access.
Revoking at the platform makes our stored token useless straight away. It does not by itself remove the record from our database — use step 1 or 2 for that, or ask us.
What we cannot delete
Posts that already published are live on Instagram, YouTube, or X and belong to your account there. We have no ability to remove them; delete those on the platform.
Ask us instead
If you cannot sign in, email TODO: contact@yourdomain from the address on your account and we will delete it for you.
